SENIOR ANALYST / ASSOCIATE, LONDON

We are looking for a senior analyst / junior associate to join our London office (Tifosy HQ). This role is suitable for a very capable junior professional, with 2 – 3 years’ of experience, that wants to be part of an innovative and growing firm and to use their skills and ideas to make a real business impact.

ABOUT TIFOSY CAPITAL & ADVISORY

Tifosy Capital & Advisory is a global sports advisory and capital solutions firm. Tifosy works with professional sports clubs and sophisticated investors in the sports sector and provides: (i) advisory services, including buy-side and sell-side M&A, debt advisory, financial consulting and valuation services; and (ii) capital raising services, including debt and equity private placements and retail public placements through the Tifosy sports investment platform.

The firm, which is headquartered in London with offices in Milan, has established itself as a leading sports advisory boutique, advising on some of the most largest and most complex transactions in the evolving sports market. The London office is headed up by Fausto Zanetton and is currently recruiting for a number of candidates to add to the passionate and experienced execution team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a senior analyst / junior associate to join our London office (Tifosy HQ). This role is suitable for a very capable junior professional, with 2 – 3 years’ of experience, that wants to be part of an innovative and growing firm and to use their skills and ideas to make a real business impact.

The role will be a full-time position in London as part the general deal execution team. The employment contact will be with Tifosy Limited in the United Kingdom but the role will be supported by the wider Tifosy team (London and Milan) and may involve some business travel for specific projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO?

The role will provide you with exposure to all areas of the business and you will directly support the senior management of the firm. As part of this role:

  • you will support the senior members of the advisory execution team and be responsible for matters including, creating and analysing financial models, creating and preparing client presentations and scheduling and attending meetings;
  • you will be responsible for producing sports and financial industry research, benchmarking and investment presentations and for ensuring that documentation produced by the firm office adheres to the highest standards;
  • you will conduct due diligence and assist with M&A and financing transactions, helping to drive the transaction process from origination to execution and closeout;
  • you will support the management and administration of investment transactions occurring on the Tifosy investment platform; and
  • you will assist with business development and the targeting, diligence and pitching of new deal opportunities and stay up to date with market trends and sports regulatory developments to ensure that clients receive the best advice from the firm.
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED?
  • Professional experience – you will have 2 – 3 years’ experience in financial services, ideally in TMT, and have trained in a top-tier investment bank or other financial services business. You will have experience with:
    • due-diligence and transaction execution understand the processes involved in buy-side and sell-side M&A, equity and debt financing;
    • financial modelling and building/maintaining/stress testing operating models;
    • preparing and maintaining industry/company presentations and benchmarking materials and other process documents; and
    • financial valuations with knowledge of DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions etc.
  • Strong quantitative and technical abilities – You will also have a robust financial and analytical skill set and be capable of applying such skills to financial modelling, accounting and creating presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills – you will be very detail oriented and have the ability to act as a point of contact and take ownership of certain transaction processes.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment – you will have an adaptable and flexible approach and understand the importance of commitment and work ethic. You will be able to manage your own time and work on a number of projects and tasks at one time.
  • A self-starter and a problem-solver – you will be capable of using initiative, creating efficient processes and collaborating with teams across the business, including our wider finance and tech teams.
  • Communication skills – you will be fluent in English and preferably one additional European langague and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interested in all matters sports and finance – you will have a genuine interest in the sports finance industry and an enthusiasm for the changing landscape of sports, finance and M&A.
