ABOUT TIFOSY CAPITAL & ADVISORY
Tifosy Capital & Advisory is a global sports advisory and capital solutions firm founded by Fausto Zanetton and Gianluca Vialli and headquartered in London. We work with professional sports clubs and investors in the sports sector and provide: (i) advisory services, including buy- side and sell-side M&A, debt advisory, financial consulting and valuation services; and (ii) capital raising services, including debt and equity private placements and retail public placements through our innovative sports investment platform. The firm is experiencing exceptional growth and has established a new office in Italy. This office is headed up by Marco Re and we are currently recruiting a team of stellar candidates to take the business forward. The Italian office will be regulated by CONSOB and will form the European hub for the business of Tifosy Capital & Advisory.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an analyst / associate to join our Italian office. This role is suitable for a very capable junior professional that wants to be part of an innovative and growing firm and to use their skills and ideas to make a real business impact. The role will be based in Milan and will be a full time position reporting directly to the Managing Director of the Italian office. Your employment contact will be held with the Italian subsidiary of Tifosy which is regulated by CONSOB, but your role will be supported by the wider team in London.
WHAT YOU WILL DO?
This is a varied role in a newly established and dynamic office. The role will provide you with exposure to all areas of the business. As part of this role:
- you will directly support the Managing Director and be responsible for matters including, creating and analysing financial models, creating and preparing client presentations and scheduling and attending meetings;
- you will be responsible for producing sports and financial industry research, benchmarking and investment presentations and for ensuring that documentation produced by the Italian office adheres to the highest standards;
- you will conduct due diligence and assist with M&A and financing transactions, helping to drive the transaction process from origination to execution and closeout;
- you will support our product, design and technology development team in London and assist with the management of investment transactions occurring on the Tifosy investment platform (including reviewing marketing promotions, platform onboarding processes and providing support and Q&A to investors);
- you will be responsible for daily administrative tasks including accounting and record keeping for the Italian office (creating invoices, purchase orders, bank payments, reconciliations and providing support to our accountants and auditors); and
- you will work closely with the Legal and Compliance Officer for the Italian office and assist with issues including KYC/AML reporting, management and on internal financial reporting. This will mean that you will need to develop a commercial understanding of the Tifosy Capital & Advisory group and communicate effectively with people in other business functions.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Professional experience – you will have 2 – 4 years’ experience in financial services, ideally in TMT, and have trained in a top-tier investment bank or other financial services business.
- Strong quantitative and technical abilities – you will be experienced in financial modelling, accounting and creating presentations. You will also have a robust financial and analytical skill set and an outstanding academic record.
- Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment – you will have an adaptable and flexible approach and assist with the establishment and growth of our Italian office. You will be able to manage your own time and work on a number of projects and tasks at one time.
- A self-starter and a problem-solver – you will be able to use your initiative to put in place processes and collaborate with teams across the business, including our wider finance and tech teams.
- Interested in all matters sports and finance – you will have a genuine interest in the sports finance industry and an enthusiasm for the changing landscape of finance, technology and M&A.
- Communication skills – you will be fluent in Italian and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
