ESPN ($10.3bn) is by far the highest earning sports TV channel in the world
ESPN, jointly owned by The Walt Disney Company (80%) and Hearst Communications (20%), is the highest earning sports TV channel in the world. ESPN broadcasts in more than 200 countries and operates regional channels in Australia, Brazil, Latin America, and the United Kingdom.
The UK’s Sky Sports, part of the Sky Group owned by Comcast, is in third place after the Fox Sports Network of the USA. BT Sport, recently subject to a takeover bid by DAZN but now in discussion with Discovery over a joint venture with Eurosport, appears in fifth place.
