Masters winner prize for 2021 was £2.07m for the third year running

Top prize at the Masters has grown 8.8% on average each year since 1934 but has remained just over £2m for 3 years.

In 2021, first prize accounted for 18% of the total prize pool, which stood at $11.5m. Despite being considered by many to be the most prestigious, this is the lowest prize fund amongst majors played in the USA – behind the PGA Championship’s $12m (winner’s share $2.16m) and the US Open’s $12.5m, ($2.25m).

The prize pool and winner’s share for the 2022 tournament is expected by commentators to see an increase on the previous three years.
