Intermediary and agents' fees totalled £273m across all Premier League clubs in 2021
Football Association figures show that in 2021 Premier League clubs spent £272.6m on agent and intermediary fees, on a par with the £272.2m spent in 2020. Surprisingly, promoted club Watford spent £12.6m, the most outside of the "Big Six".
The Big Six themselves account for 53.9% of spending on agents in 2021, down from 55.1% in 2020. Top spot has been taken by Manchester City with £35.0m spent (12.9% of the league total); in 2020 this honour was taken by Chelsea with £35.2m spent.
The three promoted clubs spent £24.8m (9.1%), up from £20.6m (7.6%) in 2020.
