Identity Verification

Verification – proof of address

You must provide certain personal information when making an investment through Tifosy in order to allow Tifosy to verify your identity and comply with its regulatory requirements. Tifosy uses the services of background and identity verification specialist On Fido to validate this personal data against available public databases. If Tifosy is unable to verify your personal details through available digital registers, a photo ID and proof of address will be required.  For information on proof of identity requirements, see Verification – proof of identity.

Proof of address documents provided to Tifosy must be clear, in colour and showing the full document. Documents in which details are missing or which are not clear or readable will be rejected.  All proof of address documents must include your full name and address, as provided when making your investment, and be dated within the last three months.

The following documents may be accepted as proof of address by Tifosy:

  • Bank statements
  • House or motor insurance documents
  • Utility bills (not including mobile phone bills)
  • Council tax letter
  • Tenancy agreement
  • Valid EEA driving license (cannot be used as both proof of address and proof of identity)
  • Letter/statement from Tax Authority

Please note, the list of documents above is not exhaustive. If you do not have access to any of the proof of address documents listed, please contact Tifosy at investments@tifosy.com.
